How Will I Know If I Am In Labor?
Always consult your Obstetrician concerning onset of labor

True Labor
You know You're in True Labor if your contractions:

1. Feel symmetrical and begin in the lower back and move to the front.
2. Follow a regular pattern, last 50-60 seconds and occurring 5 minutes or closer lasting more than 1 hour, feeling strong and painful.
3. Get longer, stronger and closer together.
4. Don't stop if you change positions (may get stronger when you walk).

False Labor
You know You're in False Labor if Your Contractions:

1. Begin in the front but don't necessarily move around to the back.
2. Don't follow a regular pattern.
3. Get longer or stronger or closer together- but not all three.
4. Stop or lessen when you change position or activity.
