Kettering Breast Evaluation Centers has been the area leader in breast imaging since opening in 1985, and is a unit of the Women's and Children's Services of the Kettering Medical Center Network. We perform more than 30,000 breast procedures each year.

Prep for Exam

• On the day of the exam, please do not use deodorant or body powder. Make sure your chest is totally covered if you use hair spray, face powder, or perfume.
• If you have breast tenderness, avoid caffeine one week before the appointment (including coffee, tea, cola & chocolate.) This is for your comfort only- it does not affect the exam.
• Patients are asked to disrobe from the waist up. A skirt, slacks, or shorts are recommended for comfort.
• For DEXA Scans, patients are asked to wear skirts, slacks or shorts without metal fasteners or zippers (elastic waistband).
• Do not take any calcium supplements on the day of your DEXA scan.
• Please bring Insurance Card with you.
