I can cope is a series of educational classes for people with cancer, their families and friends. The program helps people meet the challenge of dealing with cancer by clarifying cancer myths and facts. This free program provides practical information about cancer and its treatments and offers self-care strategies for facing cancer. Informal support group for patients with an Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (ICD). Group includes patients, family, friends and expert clinical staff. Look Good & Feel Better is an American Cancer Society program designed for ladies undergoing cancer treatment. Specially trained licensed cosmetologists provide tips for coping with unpleasant side effects such as dry skin, blotchiness, discolored fingernails, and the loss of hair, eyelashes and eyebrows. Reach to Recovery is a special visitation program for women with a personal concern about breast cancer. Offered both pre and post-hospitalization, a woman dealing with breast cancer may ask for a visit from a Reach to Recovery volunteer. The Restless Legs Support Group provides specialized education as well as support and exchange of information for individuals, their families and friends who suffer from restless legs. Discussions include an understanding of the various symptoms, new treatment strategies, effectiveness of non-pharmacological treatments, over the counter remedies and first-hand experiences with treatments and symptoms. Strength, Optimism And Recovery, a women's breast cancer support group, focuses on the concerns and issues unique to breast cancer survivors. The group is open to all women in the community, regardless of the length of time from diagnosis. Members develop a network of support and encouragement through the sharing of information and experiences.
