Healthcare Leadership Development

Charles F. Kettering once said, "My interest is in the future because I am going to spend the rest of my life there." Following the aspirations and values of The Kettering Family, whose vision for personal growth and community wellness created the Kettering Health Network, Kettering Health Network offers a variety of programs for students interested in careers in healthcare. KMC believes that to stay true to its values of innovation and education, that students learning and contributing in a variety of ways provide new ideas and insights that will improve the quality of life in the communities we serve.

Student Observation/Job Shadowing

Kettering Health Network offers year round student observation and job shadowing opportunities for students who are interested in a faith based, learning healthcare environment. The best learning comes from the ability to observe how department processes and systems contribute to the organization's success. This is typically referred to as "shadowing" and provides ample opportunity for supervisors to transfer valuable experience and knowledge. The student observation program is available to students who need observation hours for admittance into a clinical program or for students who are looking for exposure to a potential occupation. Shadowing and observation opportunities are available throughout all areas of the hospital at the request of the student. Students interested in observing at KMC must complete the forms below and submit them to KMC's Human Resource department for consideration.
