Cassano Health Center has been awarded the 2006 Better Business Bureau Eclipse Integrity
Award for non-profit organizations. The award is presented annually to Miami Valley
organizations that exemplify integrity, high ethical standards, and community service.
Cassano provides the most comprehensive health care in the Miami Valley to the region’s
underserved population and is the largest facility of its type in the area. The health
center is the embodiment of a vision held by Grandview Medical Center president, Roy
Chew, who had accepted the challenge of providing health care to underserved patients
from the former Hopeland Clinic, following the closure of Franciscan Medical Center.
With integrity, patience, and compassion, Grandview Medical Center worked tirelessly to
marshal the resources necessary to design, build, and staff Cassano. The results of those
efforts are reflected in Cassano’s mission: to improve the lives of people in the
communities they serve.
The Eclipse Integrity Awards have been referred to the Dayton area’s business community
“Oscars.” That being the case, the staff of the Cassano Clinic needs to stand and take a
bow. They truly exemplify the spirit of this award and all that is good in health care.
