 Melissa Butler, MD
Dr. Melissa Butler has recently joined Sycamore Primary Care Center and is pleased to bring her experience in Internal Medicine to the Dayton community. Dr. Butler is a 2001 graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School, Virginia. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Kettering Medical Center where she served as Chief Resident in 2005.

I am fond of the Hospital’s values, as well as its compassionate and caring medical staff which is why this institution is a perfect fit for me to practice medicine.”
Dr. Butler is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association. Her many accolades include the Ambulatory Medicine Special Recognition Award, the Albert A. Brust, M.D., Internal Medicine Residency Award of Excellence, as well as being named the Wieffenbach Scholar during her Residency at Kettering Medical Center.
 Victoria Buckner, MD
Dr. Victoria Buckner is a 2002 graduate of Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, and has completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Kettering Medical Center. She also spent one year in practice in Charlotte, NC before returning back to this area.
Dr. Buckner is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and was granted the Albert A. Brust, MD, Internal Medicine Residency Award of Excellence during her residency at Kettering Medical Center.
 Peter DeRussy, MD
Peter DeRussy, MD, is a new staff internist at Sycamore Primary Care Center. He is board certified in internal medicine since 2000, and recently separated from the Air Force following more than 12 years of active duty service.
He is graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1997, and completed a residency in general internal medicine at the Wright Patterson Medical Center in 2000. He joins the teaching faculty of the Kettering Medical Center and is starting a private practice a Sycamore Primary Care Center. He holds a BS degree from the University of Florida, and also a BMS degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. DeRussy is married with three children. He provides comprehensive care to adult patients with special emphasis on chronic diseases of adults and geriatricians, including diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and coronary artery disease. He continues service in the Air Force via the Air Force Reserves, at the 445th Aeromedical Squadron at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
 Randy Sansone, MD
Dr. Randy A. Sansone is a psychiatrist who provides psychiatric support to Sycamore Primary Care Center. Dr. Sansone received his undergraduate (zoology), medical school, and residency (psychiatry) training at the Ohio State University. Dr. Sansone has an academic background and was previously tenured at the University of Oklahoma. He is presently a Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Internal Medicine at Wright State University. His areas of particular interest include eating disorders and borderline personality disorder, and Dr. Sansone has both lectured and written over 100 articles and book chapters on these topics.
Dr. Sansone is a native of Ohio. He is married to Lori A. Sansone, MD, who is a family physician.
 Robert Sawyer, MD
Robert Sawyer, MD, is a staff internist at Sycamore Primary Care Center. He joined Sycamore Primary Care Center in August of 2000 after completing a tour of duty in the United States Air Force. Dr. Sawyer holds an undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University and a medical degree from the Ohio State University. After post-graduate training at Wright Patterson Medical Center, the doctor completed a 4-year stint as staff internist at WPMC.
Dr. Sawyer has been board certified in internal medicine since 1997, and is a teaching faculty member with both the Kettering Medical Center and Wright State University School of Medicine. A native of Maple Heights, Ohio, Dr. Sawyer is married and has three children. The doctor is looking to build his practice by treating a wide variety of chronic illnesses affecting adults, including diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and coronary artery disease.
